Tickets for this year's Pusan International Film Festival, to be held Oct. 7 through 15, will be available online from Friday.

As with last year, the festival will operate the PIFF cash membership program, which will simplify the process of booking tickets in advance for local and international visitors.

Foreigners will be required to provide their passport numbers in order to receive a 12-digit account number and a password. With this number, tickets for different films can be purchased with credit cards or through an active Korean bank account.

Tickets to the opening film, "2046" by Wong Kar Wai, and the closing film, "Chuhung Kulsi (The Scarlet Letter)" by Daniel Byun, will be available from 6 p.m. today until 8 p.m. tomorrow. All other tickets will be offered from Sept. 23.

Tickets to regular screenings are 5,000 won each with the opening and closing films priced at 10,000 won. Tickets cancelled made prior to Oct. 6 will receive a full refund. For more information, contact ticket@piff.org or call 1688-3010. (Press 2 for English service).
