TJB's "Korea Opens the Era of Satellite Independence" and two other works receive the Excellent Programs of the Month Award

The Korean Broadcasting Commission (KBC, Chair: Cho, Chang-Hyun) announced on Oct. 16 that it has selected TJB Daejeon Broadcasting's Korea Opens the Era of Satellite Independence and two other works as recipients of the 'Excellent Programs of the Month' in September.

Also selected programs are MBC TV's ! Exclamation Mark Special: Great Heritages 74434 and Daejeon MBC FM's Daejeon MBC Special Documentary: Kukak's Transformation is Innocent.

KBC announced that TJB Daejeong Broadcasting's Korea Opens the Era of Satellite Independence informed viewers about the superiority of the Korean space industry, which effectively delivered the significance of Korea's satellite independence and instilled national pride among Koreans.

In addition, KBS gave a high regard for !Exclamation Mark... as it introduced viewers to the current situation of 74,434 Korean cultural heritages that are yet to be returned to Korea. The program resulted in a national fund-raising movement to retrieve "The Letter of a Vassal of Merit" to General Kim, Si-Min, which was in Japan. It awakened the nation's interest in Korean cultural heritages as well as enlightened them on the virtues of national harmony and unity.

Daejeon MBC Special... offered viewers an opportunity to think about desirable directions that Korean traditional music can take to become more popular and more globalized while retaining its unique character, said KBC.
