The actor made the visit to promote his latest film "Jack Reacher", which is scheduled to be released here on Jan. 17, with female lead Rosamund Pike and director Christopher McQuarrie.

He also stopped in Seoul to give a press conference.

Busan City said that it decided to award him honorary citizenship because he is the first Hollywood actor to hold a movie preview in Busan, thereby helping elevate the port city's status as host of one of Asia's top film festivals.
