Top Korean App Recommendations from Sophie

Following Donna's great list of app recommendations, as promised, today Sophie will be introducing a few of her favorite  apps.

1. Shopping

For those of you who've read my "About the author" profile at the bottom of the page, you will know that shopping is my number one passion. I like getting a great deal on everything so social commerce apps like TMON (short for Ticket Monster) are awesome. Tick Monster is the largest daily deal site in South Korea and it lets me buy clothes and shoes at ridiculously low prices and also get discounts for many restaurants. It's the perfect app for my low price lifestyle.

2. Games

We all need to cool down our brains after a long day of work or study. That is when I turn on my smartphone to play games! My two favorite game apps are 'Rule the Sky' and 'Change pang pang'.

'Rule the Sky' is a mobile social game where players can rule an island! I've been jealously eyeing those billionaires in real life who can afford to buy private islands. Here is my chance to own one and also find hidden treasure! Those who love cute animated characters are going to love this game.

Secondly, 'Change pang pang' is a game that will blow away your stress! It is a similar to Tetris in that you need to match blocks with the same shapes to make them disappear in a burst.

3. Communication

Being interested in all things linguistic and having a love for technology, I'm also playing with  an app called SimSimi these days. This chatting robot talks with you about any subject. Not only is the character very cute (it resembles a cute yellow chick) but you can also teach SimSimi how to reply to certain questions. Smart SimSimi can speak 45 languages so try it out!

Check out the below video to see cute SimSimi!
