TV Personality Marco Determined to Become Korean

Model and actor Marco, who is popular due to his appearance on the KBS show program "The Invincible Baseball Team", is likely to obtain Korean citizenship. In a recent interview, Marco said he wants to abandon his Argentine citizenship next year.
Marco's full Argentine name is Marcos Benjamin Lee. He was born to Korean-Argentine parents and grew up there before coming to Korea in 1999. He in fact submitted an application to change his nationality three years ago but was unsuccessful as he was short of the required residency period.
In Korea Marco has had an active modeling career, while making frequent TV appearances in shows and dramas.
"My elder brother and younger sister are married and living in Argentina, but I want to live my life as a Korean", he said. "I have already discussed the nationality issue with my family. I don't think there will be any problem in obtaining a Korean citizenship next year".
