TV Remake of Bong Joon-ho's 'Snowpiercer' to Go on Air

The TV adaptation of Bong Joon-ho's sci-fi film "Snowpiercer" is set to go on air later this month.

The hit film, which was released in 2003 to much acclaim, has been turned into a 10-episode American TV series starring Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs.

It will begin on the U.S. network TNT on May 17 for American viewers and on Netflix on May 25 for international viewers.

Bong and fellow star director Park Chan-wook had a role in producing the series.

The series revolves around the last surviving humans who circle the globe in a gigantic train seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland, dealing with class division, social injustice and the politics of survival.
