Two Korean Entertainment Icons Collaborate on TV Series

Just hearing these names together already spurs high anticipation for an upcoming television series, "Dream High", which is co-produced by these two entertainment icons.
Bae Yong-joon, who made his first public appearance in almost a year, says his dreams have been manifested through this TV show.

"While I was thinking of establishing a training school for future stars, I learned that Mr. Park also had the same thoughts".

J.Y. Park also says he wants to make his dream of starting a private arts school come into reality.

"I still have that dream. Both of us still talk about setting up that kind of a school. I want to make the TV show into reality".

"Dream High" is based on the stories of students from diverse backgrounds realizing their talents and dreams while at a training academy.
The show also gave Park the opportunity to make his acting debut as a music and choreography director.

"I'm really nervous but Mr. Bae and my acting senior Ok Taecyeon and Rain encouraged me a lot so I decided to try it out".

Hundreds of overseas fans from Japan and Hong Kong came to show support for their Korean idols.

Meanwhile, Bae Yong-joon sees potential for the series to be part of the Korean Wave.

"There's enough potential for "Dream High" to be made into a musical or a movie because it focuses a lot on dance and music".

With music, singing and dancing as the main theme the show boasts a star-studded cast with members from Korean pop sensation groups such as 2PM and Miss A who are sure to make it a hit.
