U.K. Takes Note of Girls' Generation

K-pop band Girls' Generation are making waves around the globe. The Financial Times on Friday carried a column titled "The secrets of my brilliant Korea" by Tyler Brûlé, the editor-in-chief of the magazine Monocle. It lists the trendsetter's top 10 Korean products that are likely to succeed overseas, including Incheon International Airport, department stores and Bindaeddeok or traditional green-bean pancakes.

"Speaking of K-Pop, it's worth losing a few minutes on YouTube watching this ensemble of leggy girls belting out their hit single 'Run Devil Run'," Brûlé writes in an indication that the U.K. is also becoming receptive to the Asia-wide Korean Wave.

The girl band perform at the National Yoyogi Stadium in Tokyo on Jan. 25 and 26 as part of SM Town's worldwide live concert tour.
