"When the Camellia Blooms" starts strong in the ratings game

KBS 2TV "When the Camellia Blooms" is off to a good start!

The romantic comedy which stars Kong Hyo-jin and Kang Ha-neul has beaten "Secret Boutique", its rival in the 10pm Wednesday-Thursday slot. Furthermore, it was the most watched drama of the night!

In a report released by ratings company AGB Nielsen Korea on 19 September, "When the Camellia Blooms" recorded nationwide viewership ratings of 6.3% for episode 1 and 7.4% for episode 2. 

Meanwhile, SBS drama "Secret Boutique' (starring Kim Sun-a) which also premiered on 18 September debuted in third, and took the last place among the three dramas that aired that at the same time that night. It garnered 3.8% and 4.6% for episodes 1 and 2, respectively.

Finally, MBC drama "Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung" which aired episodes 33 and 34 took the second place with recorded viewership ratings of 4% and 6%.

"When the Camellia Blooms" is directed by Cha Yeong-hoon ("Are You Human?", 2019) and written by Lim Sang-choon ("Fight For My Way", 2017). It is produced by Pan Entertainment, the company that made hit dramas "Winter Sonata" (2002), "Shining Inheritance" (2008), "The Moon Embracing the Sun" (2011) and many more.

The drama is also broadcasted internationally on Netflix.
