Who Are the Highest-Paid Footballers in K-League?

Kim Jin-su of Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors is the highest-paid Korean player in Korea's professional football league.

According to figures released by the K-League on Monday, Kim, who transferred from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in 2017, earned W1.44 billion in annual salary this year, up 16.1 percent from last year, to become this year's top earner, followed by his teammates Shin Hyung-min, Lee Dong-gook, Hong Jeong-ho and Choi Chul-soo (US$1=W1,157).

Among Korean footballers, Kim Shin-wook, who moved to Shanghai Greenland Shenhua in China's Super League in July this year, was the highest-paid player until then.

Among foreign footballers, Ricardo Lopes, who also belongs to Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, had the biggest payroll for the second year in a row with W1.65 billion and he was still the top earner among all Korean and foreign footballers here.
