Cho Kyuhyun is serving national duty in public service as he was in an accident in 2007. He will receive basic training at the Nonsan Training Camp.

Cho Kyuhyun joined "Radio Star" on the 19th of October 2011 and has been an MC for 6 years. Along with Kim Gook-jin, Yoon Jong-shin and Kim Gu-ra he created several nicknames for himself and gained favors from viewers and fans.

There are many candidates likely to replace Cho Kyuhyun; Yook Sung-jae from BTOB, Jooheon from Monstar X, DinDin the rapper, Yoo Se-yoon, Lee Soo-geun and even actress Han Da-gam seemed greedy for Cho Kyuhyun's place.

When Cho Kyuhyun took a break from the show for his vocal cord nodules, Yook Sung-jae, Son Dong-woon and Yang Se-hyung took turns as intern MC's to fill in for him. Therefore, it's likely that one of them will be his replacement as well.

Cho Kyuhyun suggested Shin Jung-hwan. He mentioned in November last year that he recommends Shin Jung-hwan if everyone was willing to forgive him. Kim Heechul also mentioned Shin Jung-hwan when he appeared on "Radio Star" as a guest.

Apparently the director of the show still hasn't made up his mind as it's not easy to replace someone who's been together for 6 years.

Initially, the position was filled in by Cho Kyuhyun to replace Kim Heechul who was off to serve his duty to the country.
