Korean movies are in a craze.

Korean movie shares have been showing 3 times as much as foreign ones.
This is thanks to movies like "The Yellow Sea", "The Last Godfather", "Heartbeat" and "Hello Ghost". They have brought in more than two million audiences.

Especially "Hello Ghost" with Cha Tae-hyun in the lead, had more than 2.7 million audiences until the 18th and leaped over its break-even point of 1.6 million. It's still building on its profits.

"Hello Ghost" is the typical 'low cost high efficiency' movie. It targets family audiences with its comedic but inspiring materials. It also decreased risk chances by having the best inspiring and comedy actor Cha Tae-yeon.

"The Last Godfather" and "The Yellow Sea" have gone through 2 million audiences but still have a long way to go. The cost for "The Last Godfather" is 15 billion won and to keep up with its numbers it needs its strength.

On its fifth week since release, "The Yellow Sea" had 2.23 million audiences. For its breaking even of 13 billion won it can't be relieved yet. However, it still has a strong chance of a long run because it's currently up in 300 or so nearby theaters. In addition, it had been pre-sold to foreign markets and its reaction there is also a matter of question.
