There have been reports that the making of "Winter Sonata 2" has begun, but the production company claims there hasn't been any progress.

Pan Entertainment told Star Today that there haven't been any specific plans regarding the making of "Winter Sonata 2" and that the report about it beginning later this year isn't true.

The 2004 drama "Winter Sonata" is about a woman who is about to die, meeting a man who looks like her first love starring Bae Yong-joon, Choi Ji-woo, the late Park Yong-ha and Park Sol-mi.

This drama was greatly popular in Japan and it was the start of the Hallyu Boom. It was created into a musical and animation as well. Nami Island which the drama was taken at is still currently one of the most visited tourist spots in Korea. Bae Yong-joon and Choi Ji-woo earned the nicknames, Yon-sama and Jiwoo-hime.
