"Woman of Dignity" Jung Da-hye, "The Pasta Fight? Done in one cue. Director was happy".

One of the show I've been keeping up with lately is the drama "Woman of Dignity". The drama is highly intriguing, every episode is intertwined with greed and lust, which is the perfect ingredients when it comes to causing a drama. Actress Kim Sun-a's acting is always on point, and actress Kim Hee-sun's breath taking, age-defying beauty combined with her graceful character is enough to get me sucked into this extreme drama. However, the best part of this show is the story line, where they use a rather uncomfortable subject of affairs to reveal the embarrassing bare face of so-called dignified people of the high society.

One of the best scene of this show is the Pasta Fight, where Cha Gi-ok (played by Yoo Seo-jin) and Oh Kyeong-hee (played by Jung Da-hye) fights mercilessly for Jang Seong-soo (played by Song Young-kyu). The scene was ironic as these two high class women fought dirty, grabbing each other's hair and all, but the background music was oh-so-graceful.

In the drama, actress Jung Da-hye plays the role of thick-faced Oh Kyeong-hee, who have an affair with Dr. Jang Seong-soo, who is the husband of Cha Gi-ok. OSEN recently held an interview with actress Jung Da-hye to ask about this particular Pasta Fight scene.

"The Pasta Fight was done in one cue. I even prepared more pairs of the clothing but it wasn't necessary. I think it was possible because everyone got into it and didn't try to be dainty about it all. When the director said "Cut!" he did so while smiling so brightly. It was a mess but I enjoyed it too".

Since the scene was such an intense scene with action, some determination must have been needed for risks. However, Jung Da-hye smiled as she recalled the Pasta Fight and said it was all good since everyone was so determined.

"When Seo-jin slapped me, I heard a little crack in my jaw. It was painful for couple of days afterward but I didn't show it. Later on, when I watched the scene on air, I was glad that I didn't show it. Because I saw Seo-jin almost flying out as she flipped backward. Everyone injured themselves while acting out the scene but no one complained in order to complete the scene".

"Even the pasta flew in my eyes, nose and mouth, preventing me to open my eyes afterward. All the ladies lay me down and poured distilled water on my eyes to wash it out. I literally shed white tears. I didn't even know that carbonara pasta have eggs in them until then. When the eggs got hardened, it was hard to get them off of the clothes. For a while, the word carbonara is a taboo. (laugh)"

"Oh Kyeong-hee is a nasty girl for sure but I acted her thinking, even if no one understands her, I should. It was hard to understand her behavior but I tried hard to do so. In all honesty, Kyeong-hee is just a woman who wants to be loved. However, she married just for money because she was poor and didn't have any skills. She's trying hard to get out of her situation but that trying is directed to a wrong direction, so it's becoming a poison. I tried to put a feeling of "I've done nothing wrong!" attitude when I act.. I didn't quite notice while I was acting but now that the drama is being aired, I can feel such anger and hatred towards my character from everyone!"
