Women's Film Fest to Open Next Month

This year's International Women's Film Festival in Seoul will be held at the Artreon Theatre, Sinchon, from April 8 to 15, featuring 102 films from 27 countries. Now in its 12th year, the festival discovers films by Asian women directors and showcases women-oriented films from all over the world.

The opening film will be "The Day Will Come" by German director Susanne Schneider, which tells the story of a mother who reunites with the daughter she gave up for adoption 30 years earlier so that she could take part in a terrorist organization.
