"Z-Squad" clinches the Grand Prize at the 4th Quarter 2006 Digital Contents Grand Award

Crystal Fairy Z-Squad by Enemes, a star project by the Korea Culture and Content Agency (KOCCA, CEO: Suh, Byung-Moon) won the grand prize (the President Award) in the fourth quarter of the 2006 Digital Content Grand Award hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communication.

An animation set in earth and Z-Nation, a planet in a twin universe 200 million light years from earth, Z-Squad tells the story of three girls, Chaney, Haemi, and Jeanie, who accidentally break the seal of Zoots, gods governing everything in the universe, while performing a magical spell to get the most powerful magic. The animation depicts the ensuing universal chaos and how the three girls fight to solve the crisis.

Nominated as one of the best children animations at Cartoons On The Bay 2006, an international animation festival, Z-Squad is currently on screen at Seoul Ani-Cinema. It is scheduled to be broadcast beginning on Dec. 4 on SBS. Its international broadcast also begins early next year in the USA and Canada.

The winner of the Golden Prize (Prime Minister Award was Rain Of Revolution (NHN), while winners of the Silver Award (Minister of Information and Communication Award) were Everyday English, Super Action Hero (Com2Us), and DCI Inside/Notebook Inside (Digital Inside). Bronze Award winners were Zeb (NV Soft), Dengeon & Fighter (Neople), Rea's Mathematics (Sejong Edutainment, Taeyang 3C), Biz Home, Burst Rally (Gamevil), and Cabal Online (EASTSOFT). Individual award recipients include Choi, Hana (Everyday English, Planning), Kim, Byung-Kwan (Rain Of Revolution, Planning), and Yu, Seung-In (Super Action Hero, Graphics).

The winning works and individuals will be honored at an awarding ceremony on Dec. 1 at the Harmony Ballroom, COEX Intercontinental.
