'The 1st Anyang Edges Film Festival' is held in May

The Anyang Independent Film Association holds 'The 1st Anyang Edges Film Festival' from May 19 through May 21 in Anyang, Kyunggi where led Korean film industry up to the 1960's in the past.
This Film Festival is held to commemorate Anyang's history, a mecca of Korean film in an early stage, and to give a fresh impact on systematized independent film business circles under the auspices of the City of Anyang and the Kyunggi Cultural Foundation.
The Film Festival's secretariat said, "This Film Festival is differentiated from existing film festivals, whose character is put under the control of commercialism", explaing that movies pursuing thematic reality will be displayed beyond technical perfection or experimentalism.
The public subscription for participation in that film festival is by April 15.
