'Windstruck' to Premier in Hong Kong

All eyes are to Hong Kong as Chow Yun-fat is expected to attend a premier of the Korean movie "Windstruck" which will be held at the IFC building at 9:00 p.m. on Friday (local time). The movie starring Jeon Ji-hyun and Jang Hyuk is the first Korean movie to hold its premier abroad.
Chow Yun-fat, one of Hong Kong's most famous actors, was invited to the premier by Bill Kong, head of Hong Kong's Edko Films, which is a producer and distributor of the movie. He will also have a brief meeting with Jeon and Jang after the premier.

Jeon and Jang were warmly welcomed by more than 1000 Hong Kong fans at the Chep Lap Kok International airport upon their arrival on Wednesday. On Thursday, they appeared in a special program on TVB, Hong Kong's major broadcasting company, and had time to introduce the movie and talk with their fans. This video-recorded program will be broadcasted in two series next week.

Jeong Hoon-tak, head of the Korean producer iFilm, said, "For the first time as a Korean movie, we received all our investments from a foreign film company and insured the movie for its completion. Not only that, the movie is supposed to be released simultaneously in Korea, Hong Kong and China. I think this is all because Korean movies have gained increasing recognition in the world and we are enjoying great advantages because of it".

"Windstruck" is drawing great attention not only in Korea but also in Hong Kong even before its release because it is directed by Gwak Jae-yong and stars Jeon Ji-Hyun, the team that brought Hong Kong "My Sassy Girl". The movie, which is a love story between a policewoman and a pure young man, will be released simultaneously in Korea and Hong Kong on June 3, and in China on June 5.
