The film "Kokdu: A Story of Guardian Angels" has been invited to the Generation Kplus competition section for films targeting young audiences.

The film is an adaptation of a play featuring traditional Korean music that was staged by the National Gugak Center in the autumn of 2017.

Kim, better known as the husband of Chinese actress Tang Wei, said earlier that the film is intended to promote traditional Korean music among foreign audiences.

It will have four screenings at the Berlinale, starting with a red carpet event on Feb. 10.
