[HanCinema's News] "Do You Remember Me?" Confirmed For Drama Adaptation

The Intellectual Property holder of the Japanese comic "Do You Remember Me?" Neostory has confirmed that they are working with Initial Story to bring the nostalgic romance drama to the small screen. "Do You Remember Me?" tells the story of Lee Ji-hyeon, a gossip magazine writer who starts thinking back to her first love from seventeen years ago. Despite the main character being Korean, "Do You Remember Me?" actually comes from Japanese writer Akiko Hagashimura.

The reason for this is that the "Do You Remember Me?" comic was distributed simultaneously in South Korea and Japan via Kakao's comics page, as well as Piccoma in other regions. Akiko Hagashimura claims to have long been a fan of South Korean dramas, and that "Do You Remember Me?" was inspired by such stories is why the characters are Korean. She is perhaps best known for Kuragehime, the only one of her projects to be adapted into an animated series.

Akiko Hagashimura also stated that she was happy about the live action adaptation of "Do You Remember Me?" with high expectations. Purportedly "Do You Remember Me?" is still in its very early stages of production, and currently looking into casting. There is no known release window or potential platform for the project.
