[HanCinema's News] Lee E-dam Returns With "Daily Dose of Sunshine"

Lee E-dam is a relatively new actress, but made a strong impact quickly with a major role in "Artificial City" where she played half of a turbulent, secret relationship in the psychological thriller. With only three other credits, minor roles in "Two Lights: Relumino" and "Beasts Clawing at Straws" while featuring in "Voice 4" in a named role, Lee E-dam still was able to obtain a significant role in "Black Knight" on Netflix earlier this year. There she showed a sensibility for action.

And now, with "Daily Dose of Sunshine" she does something quite different as a nurse in a psychiatric ward. The story is meant to be one of emotional connection, with a realist focus and an adult outlook. Lee E-dam's character, nurse Deul-le, typifies much of this outlook, introducing the lead character played by Park Bo-young to the department. The role is actually a fairly logical one for Lee E-dam, as her character in "Artificial City" was a museum guide and the role required similar levels of expression.

As "Daily Dose of Sunshine" has only come out today via Netflix, the overall success of the show is difficult to gauge. But commenters are already showing surprising interest in Lee E-dam's performance. With no new projects confirmed for the actress, Lee E-dam nonetheless appears to be in a strong position to soon get more work.
