In a statement released through Family Entertainment, Yoon Jung-sub expressed thanks that he would be able to work in a production alongside director Kim Seong-ho and screenwriter Im Young-bin. The role in "Bad Prosecutor" will be the first for Yoon Jung-sub since "Imitation" from earlier this year. Yoon Jung-sub is best known for his work in stage productions, with most of his screen roles being fairly minor ones.

In the television drama context, Yoon Jung-sub is probably best known for his role in the 2019 historical drama "Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung" as a general. "Bad Prosecutor" is still a ways off from its premiere. The legal thriller is slated to begin airing in October in the timeslot currently occupied by "If You Wish Upon Me" on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
