The publications rights to "Rainbow" was sought by many productions in Chungmuro. Kim's other book "Misil" which was awarded the first Worldwide Cultural Award was filmed into the MBC drama "Queen Seon-deok" and attention for the second novel followed naturally.

"Rainbow" is a true story about Soon Bin-bong, the daughter-in-law to King Se-jong and second wife to Moon-jong falling in love with a court lady. The scandal of bi-sexual love that happened right in the strictest palace of the Chosun Times is a shocking thing itself but the writer also expressed affectionate love through the psychology of women and humans who were suppressed because of the generation they were in.

Kim Byeol-ah said, "I am happy to know that "Rainbow" is being filmed into a movie and I am anxious to see how it turns out".

"Rainbow" will be produced by Sonamu Pictures.
