Transgender singer to marry rapper

Transgender singer-actress Harisu, 32, will marry Mickey Chung, a singer/rapper who is six years younger than Ha, her agent said yesterday.

According to G&F Entertainment, the couple, who first met online while playing the online game "Lineage 2" together two years ago, will wed at the Millennium Hall on the 6th floor of Central City in Seoul on May 19.

Chung, whose Korean name is Young-jin, debuted as a member of the dance group Equalizer 10 years ago and joined Ha's agent last year. The agent said that it was Chung who initiated the relationship.

Ha underwent transgender surgery in 1998 at the age of 23 and began modeling in Japan while studying hair design. After her first major commercial shoot for the cosmetics company DODO in 2001, she became an overnight star. As a singer, she recorded her first album "Temptation" in the same year and the second album Liar in 2002.
