Government rolling up its sleeve to produce high quality culture contents

A forum to provide information regarding 'The 2008 Project to support the development of CT (Culture and Technology) and Performing Art Technology'was presided over by Inchon Yu, minister of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, held by KOCCA in a seminar room of KOCCA at 10 in the morning.

About 100 participants from schools and the culture industry joined the forum and had a Q&A session regarding the project plan.

This year, CT core technology development support sector and performing art sector will be granted subsidies under the project. For the next 10 months, these sectors are to perform assigned tasks by sector (game, cultural heritage, edutainment, video art and performing art). The amount of subsidies to be granted is within 75 %( 50% for large companies) of the total project cost.

The purpose of the project, which was launched in 2002, is to encourage a growth environment for the culture industry to produce and distribute internationally competitive culture contents.
