Applications for the 2nd Cultural Contents Project Camp Now Being Accepted

The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA, President & CEO Lee Jae-woong) is now accepting applications for the 2nd Cultural Contents Project Camp until November 6th.
Jointly run by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and KOCCA, the training program is designed to help top talents gain necessary field experience to become the leaders of Korea's content industry.

There are 11 projects in total, and they include "The Slave Hunters" (Chuno), a new TV series in production for KBS2TV by Chorokbaem Media, The Dumb Mafia by Younggu Art, Toonzip's Robot Arpo that successfully attracted large-scale investment from Italy and Malaysia, and "Blades of Blood" by director Lee Joon-ik.
The selected trainees will receive six months of practical training at a project camp between December 2009 and May 2010. Here, the trainees will immediately dispatched to businesses to learn what it takes to produce contents. Each of them will receive KRW1.4 million in government subsidy and will have access to the career development service after completing the training program.
The trainees will be selected both through application review and in-depth interview. Eligible for the Camp are university graduates who majored in related subjects or graduates from culture and contents-related public academies. Details can be found on the KOCCA website (
President Lee Jae-woong of KOCCA stated, "this program will help businesses secure talented workers without any extra financial burden and provide job seekers with high-quality practical training. Government-level efforts for practical training and development of a talented workforce will continue to grow".
A total of 19 trainees selected for the 1st Camp, launched in July, are currently learning about planning, production, and marketing fields at 12 contents-related companies, including JS Pictures (CEO: Lee Jin-seok), ShinCine (CEO: Shin Cheol), and Acom International (CEO: Yoon Ho-jin).
